20 Jul Footbridge Design Ideas Competition Launched
The Footbridge Design Ideas Competition, recently launched by Network Rail, is a unique opportunity to come up with a new approach to access, and to have a lasting influence on design standards.
Network Rail currently own around 2,400 footbridges throughout the UK and with this competition, are hoping to further improve their legacy while at the same time re-affirming their commitment to good design. Open to architects and engineers along with students of both disciplines, Network Rail are hoping to find functional, useful ideas that contribute to the landscapes in which they sit, ideas that are best described as excellent ordinary.
Run by RIBA Competitions, entrants have until the 18th of September to submit their ideas in. Visit the competition website for more details here
