04 Apr RSA Student Design Awards Judging Underway
Today Kay Hughes will chair the judging of the ‘Hidden Figures’ category of the RSA Student Design Awards. The competition – open to university students and recent graduates – asks entrants to tackle a range of design briefs focused on pressing social, environmental and economic issues.
Along with Kay, a panel of industry experts will judge the shortlisted entries, focussing on how design can be used to break down the barriers – physical, organisational or attitudinal – faced by those with hidden disabilities or impairments. On the panel is: Robbie Bates, Creative Director, FutureGov; Russel Beard, Head of Design, Kinneir Dufort; Rosie Critchlow, Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Lead, Office for Disability Issues; Suzi Mackenzie, Product Architect, Scope; and Jenni Parker, Founder/Director, Humanly.
